Hi All, I'm new at this game so bear with me!!

Got a desk top running Win98SE and connected to internet
via router(DI-514) and a cable modem. No problems with
the desktop.

My laptop runs WinXP and am trying to connect to the
internet vial PCMCIA(DWL-602). Having problems. Tried
pinging router from DOS windows without any reply. Don't
know if I've configured XP properly!! Adapter is enable
and seems to be working OK but cannot connect to internet
with explorer.

Any suggestions????

Badly in need of assistance!

Can you access the DI-514 management program from the desktop? See if
a log or other diagnostics is available. Make sure WEP and MAC
filtering is disabled, and that DHCP is enabled, with enough addresses
to service the desktop and the laptop.

Post an ipconfig from both the desktop and laptop. Start - Run -
"ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" - Open file c:\ipconfig.txt in
Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.

Cheers,

Chuck
