My network has three main points:-
1. Main room: A few pcs and server.
2. Cupboard: ISDN link from phone system.
3. Office: One pc.
Rough layout. Both 1 & 2 are in the same building, but at different ends.
3 is in a separate building.
At the moment, there is a 54g Wireless Access Point at 2 (Linksys WAP54G).
There is a Netgear ME102 at 1 acting as a Access Point Client, and there is
a Linksys WET11 in the office.
I would like to have the access point (54g) connected to the main network at
1, but sadly this means the connection to the office is fairly dire. At the
moment the strength is 85-87%.
The connection from the office to the main network is awful! According to
task manager at most only 10% of a 10Mbps connection is being used.
Is there any better way of doing this? Is there any reason it's so slow?
I'm afraid wires aren't really an option!
