Wireless Desktop Conflict

I have wireless desktops installed in 2 adjacent offices.
They are continually conflicting with each other. I have
tried resetting the bases and the mouse & keyboards but
nothing prevents this. They are at least 5 metres away
from each other but still the problem persists. Is there
anyway of selecting a different channel?

Hi,

Try power off one PC first. Then press the base button of the receiver of another PC and press the reset button of the mouse and key board to change the channel of the receiver and transmitter.

Hope it helps.

Hi;

As "bad luck would have it", you hit on 2 units with the same basic
frequency.
Depends on BRANDS and MODELS as some have multi-channel capabilities.
-------
Complete and full procedure keeeping the same units:

Turn OFF ONE PC.
Unplug its TRANSMITTER (Base Unit) and then 15-30 seconds later REplug.
Restart PC.
Press the button of the BASE UNIT to make it (hopefully) switch to another
wavelenght.
Remove the batteries from its mouse and keyboard to "kill" the units.
Put batt. back in some 15-30 seconds later.
Use the "RESET" on mouse.
Use the "RESET" on kb.
IF the channel was switchable and...

Leave the other (2nd unit)as is/was.

--------

Note that some brands will actually switch channels on "simple" demands.
Pressing the button on the wall unit causes it to flip to 2nd or 3rd ch.
You then simply reset the mouse 1st then the kb. to complete the procedure.
