I have made a system in access to record contacts with civilians for data
compilation reasons. We need to keep track of certain data for all
contacts. I presently have it set up on a server network. We are going to
be moving to mobile data terminals in the patrol cars and I will need to
set this up so the officers can enter the data in the cars then at the end
of shift position themselves near the PD and update what they recorded to
the server with the main databases on it. Can I do this? Please advise.

Hi Tim

I have done somthing like this, One solution is to get a terminal server
setup, with logins for each user and they can access this live. you can do
this through a cell connection or a device like the Audiovox 5050, which
comes with pocket PC on it. another program out there is called RFgen which
will help you design and build RF solutions to any database

Hope that helps - let me know if you need more detail
