Hello,
I have a wireless network set up in the house and everything works great,
but when I return my laptop from standby, the wireless connection is
unavailable unless I either reboot or remove the wireless PCMCIA card and
reinsert both of which are an annoyance I shouldn't have to put up with.
I discovered this in Microsoft's support section:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;810020
I am certain that that is exactly the problem that I am experiencing, but I
am annoyed that I have to contact Microsoft to actually get the patch to
fix it. (Something that is neither convenient nor affordable for me in my
current situation...)
How would it be possible for me to get the patch without having to pay to
call Microsoft? Do they have an alternate form of distribution? Or will I
have to continue fixing it with my current method and just wait it out for
SP2 to be released?
Thank you,
klerck
