I have a Windows XP Home system and a Windows XP Pro
system on the same wireless network. The XP Pro system
has no trouble immediately seeing the wireless and
connecting but the XP Home system does not see the
wireless system for some time after boot up or moving
from standby. Rebooting and or trying to disable and
enable network connection does not seem to help. The
system will periodically see the wireless system and
connect to it and then some time later drop it again. It
seems to run in cycles. I have downloaded SP1 and
checked the system against updates but the problem still
persists. Would appreciate any and all help on
resolving!

How close is the XP Home system to the wireless access point, and is it
using the same wireless adapter as the Pro system? Does the Home system
have current drivers loaded for the wireless adapter?

.
The Hpme and Pro systems are using different wireless
adapters. Home system has the updated drivers from the
vendor. The Home system is located within ~10 ft of the
Wireless Router while the Pro is ~30ft and one floor away.
