I have several computers in my home running XP and was very easily connect to
a CISCO wireless router with a WPA-PSK TKIP connection. I know the network
name and passcode. I have been unable to get my wife's new Vista Professional
laptop (Gateway) to connect to this wireless network though. I have been
searching all forums with no luck. I am a rookie at this so easily
understandable instructions would be appreciated.

Hi
Did you make sure that the Wireless is On (many Laptops have a physical
switch) and actually working.
Look at the Control Panel/Device Manger, and see if there is active Wireless
Card.
This is a screen shot from XP Vista looks nuc3er but the info is similar,

Jack (MVP-Networking).

Jack,
Thanks for your reply and the wireless on the laptop is definetly on... I
have an open wireless router (linksys) as well that the laptop can connect to
it is just the CISCO router I want to connect to instead which is WEP
protected I can not get the laptop with VISTA to connect.
