Hi,
Can anyone help with this; I've just got an old laptop from being repaired,
the problem I am having is that I cannot connect to my Sky Wireless Internet
connection, it finds the wireless router but when it tries to connect it says
accuiring network address, then can't connect, then accuiring network address
and so on and so on.
I can however connect via the cable.
Please help
Jon

Hi
Check the Wireless configuration it might be that it does not match/ or have
anymore the former credentials for the connection.

The Netgear DG834GT router (if that's what it is) isn't capable of AES
encryption so select WPA with TKIP in the wireless settings on both
the router and the xp box. Obviously, the passphrase needs to be the
same on both.

Hi
Each Wireless device has its own menu's system so it Not functional to walk
through since I do not have your specific devices.
In General, log to your Wireless source disable the Wireless security and
make sure that your computer can connect when it is an open Wireless source.
Once you have an open connection, reconfigure the security in the Wireless
router and do the same in the computer.
