I still cannot get my wireless netorking to stay
connected. It happens most frequently when downloading a
big file or any other time that it would be BAD for
Windows XP to have an episode if its rediculous "Security
Nazi-ism."
I have explained this problem countless times, but none of
the service representatives seem to know or care. Maybe
even the programmers don't know why this happens. They
always give me some stupid answer that either doesn't
work, or simply restates what any idiot would have known
from the get-go.
1) This IS NOT a hardware problem. Just don't even ask or
suggest.
2) This IS NOT a driver problem. I have the most current
drivers.
3) THIS IS a problem with Windows XP Service Pack 1. There
is no such "security nazi-ism" in the retail version of
windows xp. Microsoft screwed something up in SP1. It
worked fine before.
4) I know other people are having this same problem and
that they have not found any way to fix it. IT NEEDS TO BE
PATCHED BY MICROSOFT.
5) You people need to realize that the average user
doesn't need WEP protection. It slows down the connection
and unless you work in the CIA its just stupid. No I am
not afraid of people living next to me who steal my
bandwidth.
Please answer my question with an INSIGHTFUL response this
time. Maybe one of you MS reps can tell the patch writers
about this problem. Thank you.
