My son's laptop won't connect to the internet....
his laptop is wireless, goes through our router which serves 2 hardwired desktops, and normally 2 (itinerant!) laptops. We normally have no probs with visiting laptops, I hadn't changed any of the settings as administrator. His laptop is reading the netgear connection, which I've reloaded twice on his laptop, the message reads that his desktop is connected, and then the icon at the top says "disconnected". The wireless icon on his pc reads as "disconnected" but if you open it, it is reading the network but not able to send or receive.
I've read the relevant article, followed instructions, read the thread on this site, followed the instructions, but can't resolve this issue....I'm not overly confident either with messing around - just can't find what the problem is, where it is, or how to resolve it. Help!!
