I found a picture of a box here, but you know this product
offering better than I do. Hope this is the right gadget...

http://broadband.sky.com/gowireless.htm

Looks similar to this one.

Click a picture here for a closeup view of WGT624.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833122022

The above pictures are of the U.S. version, and the U.K.
version will likely have a different model number and
different recommended interface cards for desktop or laptop
use.

Are you sure the Tech Support at Sky won't help ?
Maybe they can verify the model number of the
gear they're sending.

Paul

Sky are shipping the netgear router as above, it's been hardcoded with
the username/connection details etc so a reset brings the unit back to a
configuration that still works unless you have changed wireless
settings. Logon is admin password sky
It's preconfigured to use wpa wireless encryption and you will have got
a credit card size bit of card with the key on it. If you can't find
that then you can login to the box (192.168.0.1) and check it, or change it.
Any wireless card that supports wpa encryption will be fine, you can
change to wep by reconfiguring the router, however sky's first line of
troubleshooting is to have you reset the router which brings it back to wpa.

dont get that hard coded wireless. its just wireless G that is a off
brand. Get one you can program and maintain instead of getting on of
those unsecured networks. Its so easy to connect to their network
because they dont have a WEP key. If you do get wireless program it
yourself. dont get a hardcoded one
