Re: my earlier post asking about using Linksys B wireless booster, with G
wireless router.

Well it works, and it doesn't. It improved signal strength to a computer
about 40 feet away from "good-very good" to "very good-excellent", on the
other hand it still wouldn't reach to the far end of my house. It goes back
tomorrow. It didn't "blow up" my router or anything, but then I didn't
expect that to happen.
Back to the drawing board, How to get a signal from one end of the shoebox
of a house to the other without stringing wires! Anyone know how well the
phone jack extensions work? Any other ideas?

Try placing the wireless router in the center of the house. If your
cable/DSL modem isn't in that location, get a pair of powerline
Ethernet adapters, connect one to the cable/DSL modem, and connect the
other one to the router's WAN (Internet) port . I've had good luck
doing exactly that with the Netgear XE102 and Speedstream SS2502.

Have you tried looking into a higher gain antenna? Linksys doesn't seem to
offer any - would any of the many offered by D-Link fit?
