I have a wireless network of 2 pcs running xp which works
fine. I am trying to add a desktop pc running XP media
center edition with a belkin 54g pci card. It sees the
network but will not connect. Signal is great. I have
disabled wep. No difference. This is not intermittent - it
has never connected although the network is always
visible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you attempting to use DHCP to get the IP address? If so, what does
ipconfig /all tell you? Did it obtain a valid IP address? If it's in the
range of 169.*.*.* it did not...assign a static IP address and try again.

Anyway, there's a XP hotfix 826942 which will screw things up unless your
router/card are WAP enabled. If it's installed on your system, you have
to upgrade the firmware on your router & card, or remove it for now.
