I am having trouble finding a wireless adaptor which is *known* to work with
XP_64 bit...

USB preferred but PCI ok

I've visited a lot of web sites and see plenty witrh XP support...
but it's *not* specified whether or not they will work with XP_64

The one I have is a Netgear MA101

it works fine with XP_32 but no drivers are avail for XP_64

thanks

Hi

I have the same problem ....only I'm looking for a USB 2.0 wire one. Hope
someone will make one soon.

Well I found an Edimax EW-7628Ig which is PCI and specifically states XP64

Edimax does have a USB2 version but only lists XP without the "64"
so it prob. won't work.

If I find nothing else I'll prob go with the PCI version

The Linksys PCI Wireless G works fine on my x64 PC. Works fine in Vista 32
as well, but haven't tried Vista 64.

Not to put too fine a point on it. But Linksys makes a couple DOZEN
wireless G cards. Do you happen to have the model number and revision
number?

FWIW:

I bought the thing

The comments on the NewEgg review were "low signal strength"

but I figured for the very short distance I needed, it would be fine...

well at approx 15feet through two walls...the signal was intermittant...

so I decided to just run a cable and be done with it...

it took me all of five minutes to run a wire over to the other room !!!
