I have a three storey house that calls for w/less access points on each level
to maintain adequate signal strength. The cable modem is connected to a
Linksys router in the basement and each access point is connected to that via
a netgear powerline device through the house electrical system. When I was
running XP this worked really well using either Windows W/Less config or
Intel Pro Set.
Now I have upgraded to Vista Premium Home the only access point that the
computer points to is the router in the basement and once I am on level three
of my house I have no signal where I used to have full signal anywhere in my
house.
Is there anywhere I can go in Vista to see what access points are being used
or does anyone have any ideas as to what to do so that I get the same signal
as I did when I used good old XP
