hi, i have a pc in my office room,its an old pc by compaq 4 yrs
old,runs xp professional,it do not have a s video slot.i have a
projector in my basement and i would like to connect my pc to my
projector.is it possible at all????can i wirelessly do something????
can i connect physically,are any cables available,is so, that long????

i just do not want to change my office set up or buy a new notebook
just to watch in the basement.

please help.

You could probably use the VGA port. Does the projector not have one?

The computer may have a PCI slot. You can get PCI video cards.
That will allow you to check the quality of the output of the
card, before you waste any money on an extender.

The best thing to do, is see what standards the projector
supports, and try to use the most capable interface in
your attempt. A 60" projector is probably going to be
unforgiving, if the signal isn't perfect, and you want
to spend as little money as possible, until you can determine
whether the project has good enough quality to finish it.
So test with a PCI video card connected directly to
the projector first, and then consider an extender
product, if it looks like it is going to be worthwhile.
