Last night I reformatted my hard drive as I was having
issues with my computer. When I was finished installing
WinXP, everything worked great. I was able to activate ok
and had no problems. I was able to do all the stuff that
was required. When I came home this afternoon and tried
to start up, It would not do anything. Windows will not
allow me to type or use the mouse at all. I am also stuck
at 600x800 in 8 colors. Right now I am staring at the
blue logon screen not able to do anything. I have had no
success in getting into Safe Mode as I cannot type as soon
as Windows starts loading. What can I do to solve this?
Thanks.

You may have one or more corrupt boot files in the
windows\system32\config folder. There is a discussion on
how to correct this which is lengthy. Use Google Groups
for finding it. I would not suggest a novice attempting
this without risk of having to reinstall Windows again.
Get a tech to help you. There may be more problems than
meet the eye why this occurred.
