For no apparent reason, my emails remain "stuck" in the outbox. When sending
test mail to another email address, the email IS RECEIVED, however it remains
in the OUTBOX, the Receive & Sending status box keep showing error and the
SENT email is NOT recorded in the SENT ITEMS folder.

Thanks to help.

Hi Peter.

There is special newsgroup for Outlook Express.

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...ublic.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

When posting a request for help it would be more helpful if you
provide the whole error message.

One thing to think about; Do not use your Inbox folder or Sent folder
as a storage as they can become corrupted. Make new folders where you
put e-mails you want to save for a longer time. More info. in the
link.

File Corruption in Outlook Express

Kind regards,

Gunilla.

Thanks,

I was looking for that special newsgroop for OE, yet could not find it,
hence my posting in this one; appreciate though your link and your kind reply.

Meanwhile, after much "fiddling", I moved all "SENT msg" into a new folder I
created, thus emptying the original one. Then searched for the "old" Sent
Items.dbx, renamed it *.xdb. Searched for the newly created "SENT Items"
folder and renamed it "Sent Items.dbx" et voila...

Cheers.

Do you have Outlook or Microsoft Outlook. Cheque your mail programm or your
e-mail settings it may be it

Martin,

I was obviously referring to OE6 (not MS Outlook). May be in future, MS
could rename one of these two softwares to avoid confusing nice people like
us.
