Anyone else having a problem accessing the update site? Four different
systems using WinXP (Pro and Home) get to a page that say's Windows Update
error and shows a code (0x801901F8) which when I do a search on it, ends up
not finding that specific code.

On two other systems that have Win98, I can access and do an update scan
just fine. Also noticed that just accessing the MS main site sometimes ends
up in Service Unavailable. Obviously they are having problem's or is this
due to the SoBig worm / virus ?

This may be due to some kind of popup stopper running at your site.
Microsoft moved the site to some other servers and these servers are
blocked from such tools because they also host popup services.

That's the url I get when I do an update. Also getting some Service Not
Available errors from some MS server sites. Could be my ISP (RR) but I'm
thinking this is do to the overload they're seeing due to the worms making
the rounds. Thanks for the help.

I don't know then, I just clicked on it, and it took me right there. Maybe
someone else will enlighten us.
Sorry it did not work for you.

Larry,

Same here. Just tried it again at 8:47 and it loaded....go figure. Must be
those signals are traveling over the same old infrastructure as our power
lines - and 50 million of us know how good they are...

Thanks,
