Hi folks!

You know how in Win95/98/ME in the file explorer, when you sort files by
date, folders are listed first and then the files. When using the details
view and you want to sort dates in descending order with WinXP the files are
listed first and then the folders Anyway to get the old behavior of Win9X
back? I have to move and organize many new files into some subfolders, I
hate dragging all files way to the bottom to find the folders. And please no
3rd party apps ;-)

Thanks very much :-)

Right click in a blank area of the right pane of the Explorer window and
select Arrange Icons and make sure that Show in Groups is not checked.

Click the Date Modified header, so the arrow is pointing up. You may still
have some mixed results, but I don't see any here.

But then the dates will be ordered in ascending order. Why when you sort by
the date by descending do the folders list on the bottom. Would you know how
I can contact Microsoft to ask them about this? it seems to me that this is
an oversight on their part.
