WinXP Setup Restarts.

Hi.
Wanted to make a "Fast Repair" from WinXP Setup.
Everything started fine.
In the middle of the Setup i got a Power Off.
Now, my computer cant boot to the windows.
It is constantly running setup, then after it gets to the GUI part of the setup, it restarts, then again in the loop.

Any ideas how to fix this ?

I have this problem, too. Only difference is, I get it from a fresh install on a brand new hard drive

It adds all the files it says it needs to start the installation of Win XP (Home version), then just before the GUI installation should begin it tells me that there ia already an operating system installed. If I tell it to overwrite it, it does so, gets back to the GUI installation (or where that installation should start) and gives the same error again! I'm going around in circles and can't find a way out. I have tried slaving this drive and reformatting it, but it won't do that from my Win Me primary drive

And I have disconnected all drives except the new one when I started to install XP

Please tell me what I need to do to fix this

I had the same problems.
There are four pages of instructions at this site and it requires a lot of
typing but seems to clear up just about any problem that is caused by a
software glitch.
