WinXP/Service Pack 3

Please ..... Can someone help me with this problem. I'm trying to play my
Sims Games and can't bec a little box pops up saying :

Dubugger detected,-please close it down and restart!

Windows NT user: Please note that having the WinIce/SoftIce service
installed means that you are running a dubugger!

This problem started after I updated to service pack 3.

A Google search on "winice debugger" yielded some interesting hits.
Apparently this problem can be caused by Nero verison 6 or older verison of
Divx:

Why the error started asfter SP3 was installed, that is a bit more of a
mystery.
