WinXP reboots itself

Within two minutes of shut down my (WinXP) computer reboots itself automaticly.
This is what I've done thus far:

Right click: My computer > System Properties > Advanced > [Startup and Recovery Settings] > [System Failure Automatically Restart ] is unchecked
 
Virus, blaster32 or something similar, search the web for a tool or instructions on
how to remove it. Microsoft has a web page on it too.
Unfortunately I cant remember any of the above details!

I installed the most current version of Norton firewall and virus scan prior to ever connecting to the internet. Albeit, I ran some virus checks anyway; the system turned up clean.

Someone told me the root cause (reboot after shutdown) may be from the particular version of "Roxio CD Burner" software I installed. I have yet to find the patch, but then again I haven't really had much time to search for it either.
