Ok, here's a description of the problems i'm having!

1) When i boot into windows without a cd in the drive and i then insert a
cd, in explorer the drive is still recognised as "CD-RW Drive (H:)".
2) When i boot into windows with a cd in the drive, then the correct name
and icon for the cd is displayed in exploror; however, when i eject the cd
and insert a different cd, the name/logo/contents of the previous cd still
exsist.

I am running:
WinXP win ServicePack1
I have an up-to-date virus scanner (with no detectable virusus)
A Lite-On LTR-48125S CD-RW drive

The only thing i could think of is that there is a problem with
windows......any suggestions?

Thanks
Nathan Haigh

you might have disabled auto-start for the cd drive
(auto-start is different from suto-play!). with tweakui or
some other tool you should be able to enable it again, and
everything should work fine ...

This behaviore in windows explorer has been this way for
as long as I can remember. One just has to refresh the window.
view > refresh or there may be a _refresh icon_ in the toolbar.
