Hi,
I am in the progress of upgrading to XP Pro SP2 from XP Home SP2.
Everything went well during the 1st installation, when my pc reboots it takes
me to the blue installation screen with the checkpoints. It says "Setup will
complete in approximately: 34 minutes during the "Installing Windows"
checkpoint and after an hour or so it goes down to 33 minutes. I found this
kind of odd and regarded this matter as possible because of the many programs
and files I have on my computer. (Copying the necessary files to the
upgrade) I then left the computer on overnight and when I woke up the
installation did not complete yet and was still at 33 minutes with the green
progress bar 3/4 full. What seemed more odd to me was that my pc was not
busy and did not flash the busy standby signal light. Moreover, I knew the
computer did not freeze on me because the ad-like messages with the xp
information was still switching.
Anyone else encountered the same problem?
What is the deal here?
Pls Help anyone~
BTW: I own a VAIO Sony desktop.
