My computer locked up completely on shutdown, so I turned it off using the
power button on the back of the cpu. I don't know what caused the lockup, I
hadn't done anything unusual.
Then when I turned it back on, it cycles through the bootup sequence, no
logon screen, no blue screen, no error messages.
I can get to the screen where it can be set to safe mode, etc., but none of
the options I choose do anything - just continues to cycle through bootup
sequence.
I changed the BIOS to boot from the cd-rom, and managed to boot from the cd,
used the Recovery Console to replace the existing Kernel32.dll file, but no
change.
Without any error messages, I do not know how to determine the cause of the
problem, and am pretty much at a dead end.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
