Hi,

Here is the story:
LAN
Domain controller: WinNT 4.0 Server
Members: Win2000 server, WinNT 4.0 workstations, Win2000
Professional and WinXP Professional.
The problem is with WinXP clients. They can see the
network, browse it and see available shared directories
over the network.
It's not possible to connect even to administrative
shares (c$, d$) of WinXP pc's. You can see them in the
list of the pc's in the domain (windows explorer -> my
network places -> Microsoft Windows Network).
Ping is OK. You can ping WinXP machines, they can ping
all the others. Also they (WinXP) can see the network,
browse it and see available shared directories over the
network, except the shared directories of other WinXP
machines.

And the worst thing: from time to time some of the other
machines (win2000 server, winnt4.0 server or win2000
professional) can see the shared directories ot the XP
machines and later with anything changed cannot see them
again... (The error message is: "\\<computer name> is not
accessible. The network path was not found.")

Please, help!

Thank you, Hans-Georg, but unfortunately everything seems
to be OK after reading the articles at this site and the
problem is still the same.
