Connected to the Dial up or connected to lan i can't see
any internet data/pages content.I must have some option
wrong.Btw firewall not on.

Reset and reinstall TCP/IP:

Navigate to: C:\windows\inf (this will be hidden dir)
Find the File: nettcpip.inf (reads as nettcpip)
Right click the file and choose install
With regard to the speed of the command, it is instantaneous, that is why it
will almost seem like it did nothing at all

Now, reset the TCP/IP registry values to defaults, type:

"netsh int ip reset c:\tcp_reset.log"

at the command prompt. The file tcp_reset.log will contain the changes made
by the above command.

Thank you for your time Ramesh this may have helped some
after running a network diagnostic (if this helps pin
pointthings?) the network adapter Failed at the Wan
Miniport (ip)level. dns server search order ping timed out
on primary and secondary dns
(thats the isp dns addresses i saw in the dialup but thats
for the modem ...huh?)
Either way i was unable to view internet content still :(

Ping an internet address say yahoo.com and to check the connectivity and
tcp. If it works and you are unable to browse webpages, reinstall IE
