winxp home startup problem

I've got IBM think pad R40. But the system failed to starup yesterday, not even in safe mode , nor would recent back-up quick restore. It blue screen show the message"stop:Ox0000000051(ox000000003......)".
question: what does the message mean? Can I recover the documen in system drive c withou uesing the Bluebutton?

Look for your Stop Error on the right column:

Can you choose "Last known good configuration" at the same menu you
choose Safe Mode?
