Since re-installing my system on a new hard drive, i am
not able to use the right click of the mouse to open
items clicked on. The cursor changes to an hour glass
which flips forever, with no change. Sometimes I can do
CTR-ALT-DEL & get my desktop back. Most times I have to
turn the Unit off & reboot. Any suggestions. I have:
40 Gb HD w/WinXP Home
40 Gb HD SPARE for misc. storage
1 Gb Ram memory
DELL w/Intel P4 2.4 Gb (not a Celeron)
HELP!!

What exactly are you right-clicking on? If you are clicking on something in
Explorer (like a file, folder, or disk), then there may be a shell extension
installed that is tying up your system. Do you have any such programs
installed (i.e. programs that try to add menuitems to your Explorer context
menu)?
