Firstly: When I leave my windows xpsp2 computer open at the windows desktop
for an hour or so,
(say I go to lunch or something), when I return, the computer is totally hung
up (frozen). I cannot do anything, cannot use any program, cannot open start,
cannot shut it down. The mouse is not active. It is totally frozen. The only
way I can shut it down is to use the tower power on/off button. When I turn
it off and reboot,
then it is fine until I leave it inactive again for an hour or so..
Secondly: Am I causing any damage to the operating system (or anything
else)by shutting down (manually) using the on/off power
button instead of windows shut down in the os? thx for advice.
Should I be posting this message somewhere else??
