My laptop was configured for a school's domain server. I
want to also use it at home on my peer-to-peer lan, but
network wizard won't let me install a workgroup on it.
I want a separate user ID that I can select at the logon
screen that will allow me to logon to my Mshome
workgroup. Any ideas?

Hi!
If you want to access your home network, all you need to do is when you get
the login screen on your Windows XP at startup, put your local username and
password and select YOURMACHINENAME(LOCAL) on the drop down list.
This will allow you to use your computer under a different profile other
than that of the domain. When you go back to your company, at the logon
screen type your username, password and select the DOMAIN from the drop down
list. This will give you access to your domain profile.
Hope this helps,
Teo

delete your schools domain, and set it up to not get
authenticated by a domain, you are not running a domain
network

.
My problem is that when I log on, there is no "local"
option to choose from. All of my users are associated
with a domain. Is there some way I can delete the domain
from my administrator account? When I check user
profiles, all users are associated with a domain. I
tried changing my admin account to a workgroup, but it
deleted all of my other domain accounts. I'm sure it is
something simple. Thanks.
