WINXP, D-LINK router, Toshiba Satelliete notebook problems

I bought last night the Toshiba Satellite A105-S4344 Notebook. I use it with
Windows XP installed on it.

The router is D-Link and is working fine with other notebooks.

I like it( Toshiba notebook) except the wireless connection is flaky. I have
lost connections probably 20 times and a might view the IE for a few
minutes, turn the IE off, turn it back on after a few minutes and the Web
page cannot be displayed.

When I go to Networks the wireless is then always disabled. I have no idea
what causes that.

I appreciate your help, because this is madness now.

I would look at the power saving options. Sounds as though after a time
power consuming devices are deactivated. If that is not it, check the
connections on the wireless card. (Antenna and slot.)

is this a built in wireless or a card? Goto network connections right click
and go to properties then to wireless networks tab and let windows configure
your wireless if it has not already.I have had issues when i try to let the
third party config my wireless. Good luck.

I got tired of it. I returned it( the Toshiba) and got an HP Pavillion
dv6150US and never have that trouble. Works flawlessly.
