WinXP and IE6

[Completely Lost]

WinXP Pro with all of the latest updates, patches,
hotfixes and IE6:

I can go to any site I try EXCEPT http://chat.yahoo.com.

I have checked the Hosts file. It is ok.

I can ping chat.yahoo.com.

I get a Page Cannot Be Displayed error. It has been
working for years and suddenly won't work today.

I have been running anti-virus scans regularly as well as
Adaware and Spyware Blaster but ran them again and they
found nothing.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions and possible
fixes!

Try clearing your history of visited web sites. I had the
same problem (different site, but same symptoms), and
this worked. It forces your browser to re-visit the site,
and not used cached material.
