WinWord XP slows down drastically

I do mail merge on anywhere from 20 to 200 documents a day. Over time (5-6 months) word starts to slow down. Merges that normally take 5-15 seconds start taking 1-2 minutes. I clear my Temporary folder on a regular basis. The only way I have found to fix it is to create an NEW account on Windows. Once I do that that everything is fine for 5-6 more months then I have to do it again.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing the slow down and were I can look to possibly clear out any registry data, or "hidden" temporary files?
