I installed winVNC3.3.3 on my embedded xp os,
and the VNC viewer works fine, and VNC server is not working.
any OS component that is needed to support VNC server?

Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated!

I have RealVNC 4.1 working just fine, but I've not tried it on a minimal
image. What problems are you having?
 
First, I am trying to get my image <100MB,
I have Command Shell only (no explorer shell),
VNC Viewer works, I can view other system.
VNC server, however, failed to start, no error msgs....
and I was not able to view my embedded XP from another
computer.

My questions are : is explorer shell required to run
WinVNC? Do you know the neccessary components needed?

It might well be, I'll look into it - did you componentise the service
or install the application?

I've got it working on a fairly minimal build. If you can send me your
build log, I'll see if I can work out what else you need.
