Yesterday a new Windows folder was created on my D: drive. The directory
structure under the Windows folder is:
winsxs >> Policies >>
x86_policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_x-ww_77c24773
There is a winsxs folder in the Windows folder on my C: drive. I am aware
of the purpose of the winsxs folder and its contents on my C: drive. Why
would one have been created on my D: drive?
The Windows folder on my D: drive and its contents seem to have been created
at the same time that I updated Adober Acrobat to version 7.1.0. There is a
x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.163_x-ww_681e29fb folder in
the winsxs on my C: drive with the same date and time as the folders created
on my D: drive.
