I generally leave my systm running and online for days at a time. My question
relates to thissomewhat, as I think that I have aquired something that is
leaving my system vulnerable...
When I leave my system on overnight, there is always some issue with the
Winsock catalog that causes some programs not to connect to the internet. So
I have to go through the Network Diagnostics in IE7's Tools menu. This is how
I discovered that this is a Winsock issue. Now I don't know how it ges to
this; what makes the catalog screw up, but I do know that whenever I close an
IE7 window, an error msg comes up and all windows have to close. Any info
would be helpful. I am running AMD Athlon 64X2 dcp 3800+, 1 gb corsair ram,
500gb hdd (200gb & 300gb)
xforce GT6200 video (pci), a dvd burner and a cd burner. Any takers?
