Hi,
I have set up VPN at my company running on a W2K Small
Business Server.
I am using two computers accesing my companies VPN thru a
T1 connection, one running XP Home and one XP
Professional. Both belonging to a local workgroup (no
domain being used). All network settings are identical on
both machines.
Connection is done as mentioned to a W2K Small Business
Server. No filters are used on the servers network
interfaces and assignment of IP-adress, DNS and WINS is
done using DHCP at the server.
DNS resolution works fine on both but when WINS comes in
only XP Home works. Using "net view \\server" produces a
correct list on XP Home but generates "System error 53
has occured. The network path was not found." on XP
Professional. "nbtstat -c" produces the same result on
both computers.
I appreciate any information,
Bjørn Hasselberg
