Geez ya fix one problem and another pops up.

It seems that if one uses Winrar under XP (Pro), (98 does not have this
problem btw), the directory will become locked by another user or
program until the system is restarted. You can delete the files in the
directory, but not the directory (folder) itself.

I have contacted Winrar, but I haven't received a response from them
yet.

Any ideas on this one?

Thanks

Me too so it shouldn't be doing this.
Maybe try to uninstall/reinstall Winrar.

Been There Done That.

The problem was originally seen in ver 3.00. I uninstalled 3.00 and
installed 3.30, but the problem persists.

(e-mail address removed) says...
Well it now seems that the problem is not limited to WinRAR. I have
other folders that I cannot delete without restarting the system. Same
symptoms as before, I can delete the files, but not the folder itself. A
common thread here seems to be that folders are created from within
software when files are extracted etc.

Still confused,
