Hello,

I was wondering if anybody had any experience customizing
WinPE to assist in the install process of an OS image.

Our goal is to distribute our OS build on one boot-able
disk that will install itself on the harddrive and then
boot from the harddrive there after.

Have you considered using either SDI2HD or making an XP embedded El-Torito
CD to deploy your actual image instead?

Thanks for the reply,

You mean build a El-Torito XPE OS for the sole purpose of
installing our main XPE OS? That sounds like it would
work. How would that effect the licensing? Because there
would be 2 OSes distributed with every CD.

I have considered using sdi2hd and maybe thats the way I
should go. I'm not entirely sure on how to combine it all
into one CD that's bootable.

Have you've done any of these?

Maybe someone else can answer the licensing question. SDI2HD would work.
It actually works from DOS so you'd have to boot using DOS. I don't know
what the WINPE licensing implications are -maybe someone else does. I
believe you can use the WINPE on CD 1 (ie. boot from CD1) and deploy your
image using SDIMGR
