Could someone please comment on what the differences are here and why one
should be considering one Microsoft mail system over another. I'm using
Windows Mail and have found some shortcomings and I have been given some
indications that the Windows Live Mail System may be better and may be better
supported and enhanced by Microsoft???

Thanks,

bj

I've tried to "upgrade" to Windows Live Mail, as people told me "it's much
better" but I shortly got back! I feel comfortable using Windows mail in my
IMAP configuration. I had a lot of errors from WLM instead

Think of WLM as WM + bug fixes + Hotmail access.
There are a few other basic differences. WLM works on both
Vista and XP. WLM sets up separate inboxes for each mail account.
WLM is receiving the benefit of ongoing Microsoft development
while WM is not. Unlike here, Microsoft reps participate in WLM's
newsgroup.

There is no drawback to trying WLM. If you decide you don't like
it, you merely uninstall it, and WM is back.
