WINNT system file not found

When I reboot my computer, I get "cannot find file
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\system32.exe". How can I recover this
file. I have reinstalled Windows 2000 disk but still get
same message. Have only had this error since replacing
mainboard.Also get bios error sometimes. Thanks to anyone
who can help.
 
The file never was part of the operating system. Believe it's part of a
trojan virus.
