Iam receiving the same message as "Roger". "Winnet has
encountered a problem and needs to close." I also send
the error message to Microsoft with no reply. Help!
 
First off MS does not reply to error messages. They collect the data,
correlate them and use the data to create patches to fix the problems.
Secondly, tell us what winnet is.

couple of days ago and that seemed to help for awhile.
Now every few seconds it appears again.
 
Stacie, do a search on "winnet" and you'll get a few hits
from a couple of weeks ago. This winnet message is
apparently associated with the CommonName program. The
instructions have you add/remove CommonName to correct
the problem. I've tried but you have to go thru
commonName to get the uninstall program. I'm getting
a "web page unavailable" notice. I've emailed them and
hope to get a reply in my lifetime.
 
Stacie, I finally got the uninstall from commonname. The
installation has been completed and I haven't seen the
winnet message again. Life is good, I hope!
