I'm running a combination of WinMsg 5.0/5.1 on Win2K Pro/WinXP, with
the following problem. The 5.0 client does NOT expose in the UI the
ability to disable BusyDetect (automatically set status to busy when
running apps in full screen mode). Also, the 5.1 client only exposes
this setting when running on XP, and not on Win2K Pro.
In each of the above combos, where the option is not available in the
Messenger UI, I've set the following registry setting...
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService\EnableBusyDetect=0
but it does not seem to take effect.
Are there additional values that need to be added/modified?
possibly.... in HKU or the setting for
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService\AppSettings
Should this work at all? Is there any pending update to WinMsg 5.1?
I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts/help.
