I am using Vista Windows Mail through Bigpond and I keep getting a message
window stating "The server I am connected to is using a security certificate
that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the
passed value. Do I want to continue using this server?" Can anyone tell me
what this means and if I need to change something?

It probably means you are connecting to the wrong server, or
your port/SSL settings are not correct.
Are you using these setting?:
http://bigpond.custhelp.com/cgi-bin...aqid=672&p_created=1044639522&display=content

Those instructions don't mention any special ports, so make sure you
use 110 for incoming, and 25 for outgoing, neither one uses SSL.

That site tells me how to set up my email account but I have had it set up for some time. This message only recently started and when I click on yes it downloads my email. I just want to know how to stop the message appearing.
