Hi everybody,

I want to ask about the WinHelp32.exe. I read Windows Vista will not
support the *.hlp format anymore
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;de;917607).

At first Microsoft said there will be no support. Now I know it will be
possible to download the WinHelp32.exe on a user's computer. Anyway,
will there be another surprise again? I mean can we expect Vista to ship
WinHelp32.exe in the end or is this really a serious and solid statement?!

Thanks
Mue

Yup. Makes sense too - to some extent - although it is not in completely
keeping with backward compatibility.

Windows had too many ways to display help - a sort of Help bloat. So
Microsoft did a bit of trimming.
