The PL link has gone sour. Could someone find me a new link (preferably
one with a download *and* description).

I downloaded one file and it scanned clean but was not quite the right
size. There seem to be quite a few DL available but I'm busy with other
things. . .

We need:

v 1.09 (2003-10-14) (wdrvbck1.exe) (2,566,612 bytes)

OR. . .

Would someone like to host this? I just discovered that the version tab
of the file has a comment: freely distributable. I can email the file to
anyone that's interested in hosting it.

The good news is it can be included in the PW2004 CD. :)

Super! Sending it now (slowly) (to shelbina). Please let me know what to
use for description and DL URL's so I can revise the PL pages.

Hello Steven,

You guys are great. :)

I'm sending the file to Burnr right now. One location is all we *need*
for the PL but I'm always happy to have a backup location.

I need an email address to send the file to. . .

Got it. Thanks :) The About dialog reports it as v1.0.8 and the faq page
here http://www.jermar.com/wdbupd.htm indicates that to be the current
rev.

However, the about dialog offers a "check for updates" and this reports
that there is an upgrade to 1.0.9 available. I didn't choose to upgrade
as I'm unsure if that "upgrades" you to the shareware version.

The PL page indicates 1.0.9 as the last free version. Is that how the
user gets to v1.0.9 is by first installing 1.0.8 and then use the
internal upgrade function? If you're unsure, I'll go ahead and select the
upgrade to see waht happens but thought I'd ask first.

Ack - I thought I had v 1.09 - didn't even look at the version # -
feeling like an idiot :(

the version I downloaded that didn't quite match for file size *is*
version 1.09 - feeling like more of an idiot. . .

I got it here:

ftp://ftp.agt.net/pub/simtelnet/winxp/fileback/wdrvbck1.exe

AFAIK that's what we want - probably easier to DL it than for me to send
it to you.

Thanks much for the URL's. :)

I can't get to the Jermar link you posted (or any part of their site):

http://www.jermar.com/wdbupd.htm

I've had trouble with a few other sites today. I'm glad you posted that
link - told me the problem is at my end. I sure hope it's better tomorrow.

Steven, apologies to you too for my confusion about the files.
