Ron

I would like to back up selected files AUTOMATICALLY from
my C: drive to a second hard drive installed for this
specific purpose utilizing MicrosoftXP's "nt backup," but
am experiencing difficulty with the setup.

The two internal hard drives and my one external hard
drive are not recognized by nt backup as backup devices
and I am not given the "File" option, ala "BackUp My PC."
My reading of what documentation I have found and these
forums suggest I can indeed do this, so would somebody
explain to me "how"?

Referencing any and all Microsoft KB's [for that matter,
ANY reference material] as well as guidance from somebody
who has actually done it would be most appreciated.
Thank-you.
Ron

P.S. I apologize for posting to multiple forums, but the
subject is referenced at no less than seven [7] sites...

Actually the file/transfer wizard is a better back-up
utility, selecting current computer as old, then save the
data to a folder(create one),then move the folder to
area of choice or copy to a cd.What would AUTOMATICALLY
represent.With file/transfer,its designed to litterly
be able to copy youre settings(all if you want) to a cd,
pu the cd,go anywhere theres a xp computer, install cd,
then have the computer set-up as it is now.See if nt
backup can do that.
