I'm having problems removing a invalid desktop shortcut.
Every time I delete the shortcut and restart my computer
the shortcut reappears...

Chances are that even though you think you may have
removed the programs components programs with tracking
devices in them often put components under numbers or
characters or any combination of both to hide them from
you. So it is with many programs and you will need a good
registry cleaner like JV16 Power Tools along with SpyBot
Search and Destroy. BHODemon and HijackThis are also good
free programs that will help. Look in your
start\run\msconfig and see if the program is there and
thus recreating the icon even though you have deleted it
from your desktop. Frequently going into regedit and doing
an edit\find is the only way to get all components of a
program. Have fun.
